Rhino Monitoring and Security
|
|
The field staff are divided into Patrol-Teams, each regularly patrolling a specified area within the 25.000 square kilometres rhino range. All fresh rhino tracks are picked up during such patrols by vehicle, foot and camel and followed on foot until the rhino is sighted. For the monitoring also a Cessna 172 is used, donated by the German-Namibiam Society.
